Day 1: Welcome Darwin (D)
On arrival in Darwin you will be transferred by private car to your hotel. This afternoon enjoy a tour of this tropical city. Enjoy a Welcome Reception and dinner this evening with your Travel Director and fellow travellers.
Overnight: Mantra on the Esplanade, Darwin.

Day 2: Darwin to Katherine (B,D)
Head south along the Stuart Highway towards Katherine. Stop at the Adelaide River War Cemetery, a site dedicated to the WWII air raids on Darwin. In Nitmiluk National Park, cruise the placid waters of the Katherine River through the towering cliffs of two gorges as the walls reflect the colours of the late afternoon sun.
Overnight: Paraway Motel, Katherine

Day 3: Katherine to Kununurra (B,D)
Watch the landscape transform as you journey across vast pastoral leases and Aboriginal homelands into Western Australia . Visit the historic Argyle Downs Homestead, which was faithfully removed brick by brick and reconstructed to become a pioneer museum. Later, cruise along the Ord River from Lake Argyle to Kununurra. Experience a magical sunset on the water before you arrive in Kununurra.

Day 4: Kununurra (B,D)
Kununurra is the hub of local industry for agriculture, tourism and mining in the East Kimberley. You will visit Mirima National Park, the National Park has great cultural significance to the local Miriwoong people and features intriguing natural rock formations. Afterwards you’ll have time to view the town from Kelly’s Knob Lookout before enjoying dinner at the Kununurra Sandalwood Factory.

Day 5: Kununurra to Emma Gorge (B,D)
First up visit Hoochery Distillery, makers of Ord River Rum, the only rum made in Western Australia. Travel to Parry Lagoons Nature Reserve (weather permitting) to see the birdlife of this region. Continue to the Gibb River Road and travel to El Questro Wilderness Park for your stay at Emma Gorge Resort. Staying in safari style tented cabins, you really feel like you’re immersed in nature.

Day 6: Emma Gorge to Halls Creek (B,L,D)
Travel across the Pentecost River to the hub of El Questro Wilderness Park for a cruise on Chamberlain Gorge, a fresh waterhole fringed by tropical vegetation and 60 metre tall escarpments. This evening after dinner, sit back with a drink and enjoy local entertainment.

Day 7: El Questro to Halls Creek (B,L,D)
Visit the Argyle Diamond Mine for a guided tour of the world’s largest diamond mine. Continue to Halls Creek.
Overnight: Kimberley Hotel, Halls Creek.

Day 8: Halls Creek to Fitzroy Crossing (B,L,D)
Travel through the Kimberley to the remote township of Fitzroy Crossing. Stop at Yiyili Indigenous community. This afternoon cruise with a local guide through Geikie Gorge, which was formed by the waters of the Fitzroy River tunnelling through the Napier Range.

Day 9: Fitzroy Crossing to Broome (B)
Travel to the tropical resort town of Broome on the Indian Ocean. On arrival, enjoy a Broome city sights tour with your Travel Director, before sitting back and relaxing with a drink to watch the spectacular sunset over the ocean.

Day 10: Broome – Free Time (B,D)
You have a full day to explore this tropical hideaway. At some stage you may like to take a leisurely stroll along Cable Beach. Wander through Chinatown or shop for pearls. Tonight, join your fellow travellers for dinner.

Day 11: Broome to Port Headland (B,D)
Today we head south to the Pilbara region. Known for its rich cultural landscape, red earth and vast mineral deposits. Skirting the edge of the Great Sandy Desert, cross vast pastoral leases and Aboriginal homelands through Pardoo to Port Hedland. Port Hedland is a hub for major resource activity and is a powerhouse of the Australian economy. Its natural deep anchorage harbour sees the export of iron ore, salt, manganese, livestock and natural gas from the nearby off shore gas fields.

Day 12: Port Headland to Karijini National Park (B,D)
Journey in to the depths of the Pilbara to Karijini National Park. Located in the Hamerlsley Ranges, Karijini is famous for the natural beauty of its deep gorges, secluded emerald rock pools and ice blue waterfalls. Your stay tonight is in safari-style eco tents. You can sit on your private deck and relax watching the sun set and fall asleep to the calming sounds of nature.

Day 13: Karijini to Karratha (B,L,D)
This morning travel to Tom Price for a guided tour of Rio Tinto’s Open Cut Iron Ore Mine site. You will be amazed by the massive pit and see the huge machinery and trucks in action as you’re lead to the heart of the operation. In the afternoon you journey back to the spectacular waters of the West Coast to Karratha, another town supported by the mining industry.

Day 14: Karratha to Exmouth (B,D)
Today travel to North West Cape and Exmouth. When you arrive on the coast you’ll visit Vlaming Head Lighthouse for stunning views over Lighthouse Bay and enjoy a tour of the township with your Travel Director. Tonight stay just metres from the water, overlooking Exmouth Gulf.

Day 15: Exmouth – Free Time (B,D)
Today is yours to do as you choose. Why not marvel at the size, grace and beauty of the Whale Shark as you swim alongside them in the pristine waters of the Ningaloo Marine Park. Alternatively, you could take a stroll along the beach or relax by the hotel pool overlooking the water.

Day 16: Exmouth to Carnarvon (B,D)
Today, on a glass bottom boat, cruise over World Heritage listed Ningaloo Reef at Coral Bay. to see coral formations found in the lagoon gardens of the inner reef. We then make the journey south to Carnarvon. On arrival you’ll visit the Carnarvon Space and Technology Museum.

Day 17: Carnarvon to Monkey Mia (B,D)
Visit Hamelin Pool to see the best known colony of Stromatolites, dating back to start of life on earth. Stop at Shell Beach en route to Monkey Mia.

Day 18: Monkey Mia (B)
Today, choose from two Included Choice sightseeing experiences. You may like to join a Daytime Dreaming bush walking tour or unwind and watch the world go by on a sunset cruise.

Day 19: Monkey Mia to Geraldton (B)
Travel via Kalbarri National Park and Hawks Head Lookout, then to Geraldton.

Day 20: Geraldton to Perth (B,D)
Visit Nambung National Park, home of the marvelous Pinnacles. This afternoon visit Yanchep National Park where you’ll enjoy a fantastic Aboriginal cultural experience in a bush setting. Meet your Aboriginal guide Continue to Perth and join your fellow travellers for a Farewell Dinner.
Overnight: Mantra, Geraldton

Day 21: Depart Perth(B)
Tour concludes after breakfast. Transfer to the airport for your flight home.
