Example Itinerary if departing from Sydney, Melbourne or Canberra
on a Friday

Day1: Arrive in Norfolk  – Night as a Convict (D)
Depart for Norfolk Island. Upon arrival at Norfolk Island you will be transferred to your hotel. Later Dress as a convict & join in with the    Commandant for an evening of gaiety, feasting, singing and dancing.  Great food! Great fun! (outfit supplied)

Day 2: Norfolk Island tour and Wonderland by Night (B,D)
You will be collected for a Half Day tour of Norfolk Island where you learn some fascinating information on Norfolk’s culture, history and scenic beauty. Find those out of the way places that only a guided tour can offer. Dinner at the Hotel Restaurant this evening. Wonderland by Night. The setting is 10 acres of magical Norfolk pines & bushland lit up like an enchanted forest.  Meander along (or ride in the ‘moon buggy’) a gentle winding path with Archie, a descendant of the Bounty mutineers, as he recites his poems and lights up the dioramas.

Day 3: Convict Settlement Tour (B,D)
Morning at leisure. This afternoon an indepth tour of the historic Georgian settlement of Kingston. Walk through the cemetery & hear the history of interesting convict & colonial headstones, hear stories of the houses along Quality Row. Walk through the ruins of the New Gaol, see the Pier Store, Boat Shed and the Crank Mill. Afternoon tea included. Dinner at the Hotel Restaurant this evening.

Day 4:  Free day & Progressive Dinner (B,L,D)
A free day to take in the sights or just lazy around the gardens. Lunch at the hotel. This evening meet the locals and enjoy friendly hospitality in their own homes on a four course progressive dinner around the island. Quality meals assured. BYO alcohol.

Day 5: Free day and Sound & Lights Show (B)
A free day to enjoy the Island your way. Then Sound and Light Show at Kingston

Day 6: Breakfast Bushwalk & Island Culture Tour (B,L)
Take your choice of a stroll through One Hundred Acres Reserve or for the more energetic, A leisurely 3.5km walk through scenic Mt. Bates to Captain Cook Monument. At the end of the walks we meet on the cliff top for a delicious breakfast barbeque. Lunch at the hotel. This afternoon experience the Island culture, from the mutineer ancestors and their Tahitian wives came the arts of woodcraft, weaving, cooking and the Norfolk language.

Day 7: Behind the Hedges, Island Fish Fry & Mutiny on the Bounty (B,D)
Travel to Anson Bay to visit a small hobby farm, which has been instrumental in improving our local livestock industry. Close by see a demonstration at Norfolk’s major pottery and browse at the Cottage Pottery Shop. Morning tea at a scenic location, visit a beautiful private and commercial garden that supplies local florists with stock. Exclusive to Pinetree Tours – visit “Sweeties” and learn how they make chocolate on Norfolk. Afternoon at leisure. This evening a traditional Island Fish Feast, in comfortable café-style seating, with local fish, island dishes, salads and desserts. Later enjoy a display of Island dancing. After dinner See descendants of the mutineers bring the story of the famed ‘Mutiny on the Bounty” and historic events to life in a 1½ hour show performed in an outdoor amphitheatre on Norfolk’s western coastline.

Day 8: Depart Norfolk  (B)
Morning free until time for your transfer to the airport for your flight home.

From 1 July 2016, travel to Norfolk Island from mainland Australia.
Australia will be classed as domestic travel however; a valid passport continues to be the preferred method of identification. The Department of Immigration and Border Protection advises:
1./ Anyone travelling between Norfolk Island and mainland Australia will be required to identify themselves.
2./ A valid passport is the preferred means of documentation; however, photographic identification may be acceptable for Australian Citizens.
3./ Anyone travelling without a valid passport will experience delays in passenger processing.
Travelling without a passport will affect passengers’ ability to be immigration cleared if; in the unlikely event the flight is diverted to another country.

Norfolk Island is located between 1610kms from Sydney, 1456kms from Brisbane & 1063kms from Auckland. Norfolk Island is a volcanic outcrop 8km long and 5km wide. It is one and a half hours ahead of Australian EST.
